Concrete Ideas is an ongoing photographic series that began during the COVID-19 pandemic, when isolation and the absence of everyday human interaction led me to explore my surroundings through daily walks.
During these walks, I began noticing the overlooked beauty of weathered walls, their peeling paint, layered textures, and unexpected colours. Through photography, I started interpreting these surfaces as abstract compositions that reflected different emotions and experiences, from solitude and melancholy to joy, hope, and excitement.
What began as a personal response to an unusual time has since evolved into an ongoing exploration of finding beauty, emotion, and imagination in the most ordinary places.
